Dispensers are great...they do what they should...as long as they are operated within their design limits.
Just as a Pez-dispenser will fail to work if stuffed with M&Ms or TicTacs, the note dispenser will fail if stuffed with sub-par notes.
What are sub-par notes ?
Any notes not provided by a bank or CIT company will jam the machine.
